Ups and Downs
We had a lot of ups and downs in the last few days. Since the baby decided it wanted to get out of the Oregon/Michigan fiasco early, my belly decided to pop out last Saturday (the photographic proof is in the last post). So... while my clothes had been getting really tight already, they just plain did not fit after Saturday. This was quite a problem with the new job starting next week. Thankfully I have wonderful family. Mom and Grandma Lorriane helped get me all fixed up with the start of a maternity wardrobe. Then came the downs - first a tumble down a flight of stairs. Luckily I managed to ride it out on my hands and knees, so there wasn't any risk to Sparky, but my knees are now a lovely shade of purple. Then the cold. And of course you can't take cold medicine while pregnant. Such is life. Our first trip to the doctor was moved to this Friday and we are looking forward to getting more information and hearing Sparky's heart beating.

Dear Little Baby Obrieter, we are so glad Mommy didn't get hurt any worse. Also that new clothes are arriving on time for her new job. You are going to love her new job, she will be able to sit down and maybe even play music that will help you to sleep and grow. We are very sure that you are in the bestest family you could ever be in, so be patient until you can safly meet us all. We already love you and can hardly wait to see you. Great Grandma Jennie

Jen,
Those stairs can be a real problem as your center of gravity completely changes. Glad you were not hurt, but remember to hold on!

Don't suffer with a cold... there are meds out there you are allowed to take. Ask your Dr. Mine said I could have anything labeled "children" and take basic tylenol. I wish I knew that before I had a full blown infection... Best of luck in your recovery!
